Cheese Scones

Great recipe! I made the scones yesterday night and was amazed a how easy and fast the scones were to make. I hadn't made scones before but will use this recipe again. The recipe produced 6 smallish scones perfect for 2 adults...fresh from the oven, split and with a generous amount of butter. YUM! I didn't have a sieve either so couldn't sift flour but still turned out great.

Cheese scones are quick and easy to make. You probably already have the ingredients too!

Prep time: 10 minutes Cook time: 10 minutes Servings: 6 scones

Ingredients: 1 cup flour 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 tablespoon butter 1/3 cup milk 1/2 cup cheese

Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 220 degrees C 2. Sift dry ingredients and then rub in butter until mixture is like breadcrumbs, then add cheese 3. Make a pit in the middle of the mixture and add milk mixing quickly 4. Turn out dough and knead lightly 5. Roll out until dough is 2cm thick and cut into 6 6. Place on greased tray and brush with milk and sprinkle with a little cheese 7. Bake for 8-10 minutes

Ayam Bakar Kak Liza (Forum Melayu.com) 1 ekor ayam (anggaran 1.5 kg atau 1.7 kg) 2 s/b madu 1 s/b air limau kasturi atau sos plum 2 s/b COSWAY Delichef Salted Chicken Seasoning 1 labu bawang besar - belah 4 tapi tidak putus 2 kuntum bunga lawang ] 5 kuntum bunga cengkih ] bahan A 2 biji buah pelaga ] 2 inci kulit kayu manis ] 5 biji kentang kecil - buang kulit 1. Bersihkan dan tos sehingga ayam kering. 2. Gaulkan madu, air limau dan chicken seasoning. 3. Lumurkan ayam dengan bahanyg digaulkan dan perapkan selama 2 atau 3 jam. 4. Masukkan bahan [A] kedalam perut ayam. 5. Masukkan juga bawang besar yang telah dibelah tidak putus. 6. Susun ayam dan kentang dalam loyang tahan panas. 7. Bakar dalam oven selama 1 jam 15 minit pada suhu 200 C. 8. Bila sudah masak 30 minit terbalikkan ayam dan bakar lagi sehingga masak dan lembut. 9. Setelah masak, susun daun salad dalam pinggan dan letakkan ayam diatasnya. 10. Sediakan sos lada hitam.
